As I lay my son down to sleep tonight, I will look at him like I looked at him the very first night at home . As he takes his glasses off and settles into bed, covers himself up and kisses me. Good night I am inside crying my eyes out sad as can be. How did this day approaches so fast how did he grow up to be a kinder gardener already I ask myself all these questions and close my eyes and try to remember him being young and small and those memories just fade away as the new ones appear . He loves toy story and buzz and woody and loves his brothers . Playing on his iPad and watching YouTube videos. These memories I will have forever. I love you to the moon and back my son and I can’t wait for you to start your school adventures. You’ll grow to be so smart and so loving I know you will become something great one day you could do anything you put your mind to. Your dad and I are so proud of the little man you’ve become. We have fought many little battles with you. Including but not limited to your kidney disease you’re a little spits bats you calling me an old grandma and calling your daddy a fat chubby guy fighting with your brother, pick it up and carry your little brother around the house being mean to the dog. They are such a handful boy but I also will cherish the memories of you laying in bed with me rubbing my arms telling me I’m beautiful telling me you love me 1000 1 million me asking you why are you cute and you responding to me why are you mine that will always be ours why are you cute and why are you mine Because that’s the simple answer. I love you so much my son.
