Sorrel thought back on her father's final words, then shook her head. She figured he would be here already if he was to come, since her father had died a month ago now. Life was meant to be lived alone, she believed. Sorrel, the brave rabbit and lousy mage as she was, was determined to live a solitary life. Magic had become a legend of ancient times, and railways started encroaching even the countryside. Were the deceased mage's words to be forgotten? The little rabbit couldn't help feeling lonely, dabbing the corners of her eyes. She missed her dad. + No, there's no time for crying! She snatched up her basket and dashed off to collect the next herb. Or she meant to, rather. A "Sorrel!" "Oh my!" It was true that Sorrel didn't want to leave her home. Full of energy as usual, she set off from the house. Aromatic herbs made money. It wasn't much, but she couldn't waste the inheritance her father had left her by doing nothing.
