ARANEIDAE THUNDER Dirty Exercise Blues [Spoken Intro] Welcome to Araneidae Thunder… Where the plan is late, the beer is warm, and somehow everybody still claims they know what the fuck they’re doing. --- [Verse 1] Old Peter’s been serving since the Stone Age began, Fifty years in uniform, still thinks he’s one sexy man. He loves being naked, lets the old boys swing free, While Wim-Jan’s doing all the work for the H.I.D. Wim-Jan wants stripes, says Sergeant Major’s his fate, Works twice as hard and still complains till late. Could retire tomorrow, but he signs another year, Then tells everybody why he fucking hates it here. Surveillance got a quiet man staring at the screen, Twenty-five years Sergeant Major — longest streak we’ve ever seen. Beside him sits Blue Hair, lieutenant bars and pride, One barely says a word, one’s ready to argue with the world outside. Then Jason sees his GM400 and starts breathing kinda slow, Loves that radar more than anything he’s supposed to know. Two Army boys felt warm once walking somewhere they should not be— Jason said, “They’re fine!” That’s Air Force safety philosophy. --- [Chorus] I got the Araneidae Thunder blues, Everybody’s got something to prove. Jason loves his radar, Leo hates the chain, And Logistics keeps screaming “FUEL THE FUCKIN’ THING AGAIN!” Yeah, the Araneidae Thunder blues, Little boots and questionable views. If somebody knows where Logistics sleeps tonight… Please tell the poor girl, ’cause nobody’s got it right. --- [Verse 3] SIS got four fine gentlemen and half a fuckin’ clue, Monday says, “We got this.” Friday says, “Who the fuck are you?” One’s bald, one’s massive, one’s got McDonald’s hair, One still talks about his old job like mentally he’s working there. Preparation ain’t their foreplay, planning ain’t their style, They just stare into the fire and say, “Fuck it… give it a while.” Then underground sits SBAMD, three bastards watching sky, Two young fools, one old fart, waiting for something to fly. Two drones came buzzing, full of confidence and pride— Then two little exercise kills got painted on the side. Pilots walk around like the sky belongs to them, Fancy suits and helmets, looking pretty once again. SBAMD just laughs and says, “Keep talking, Maverick boy… When that track turns hostile, guess who gets to break the toy?” --- [Bridge – Slow Blues Breakdown] Peter lost his trousers… Wim-Jan lost his patience… Leo found a conspiracy… Jason found true love… SIS lost the planning… Logistics found the fuel… Surveillance saw everything… And SBAMD? Well… They found the trigger. --- [Final Chorus] We got the Araneidae Thunder blues, A military circus with expensive fuckin’ tools. Peter’s still naked, Jason’s radar spins, Leo keeps complaining but somehow always signs again. Yeah, the Araneidae Thunder blues, Four hundred briefings and no useful news. SIS is improvising, fuel is finally right, Surveillance sees the picture and SBAMD owns the night. So raise that beer, boys, We somehow made it through… Araneidae Thunder… Same fuckin’ circus.
