Vote Matt Smith

Letra

[Verse 1] Matt Smith rolls in before the yard wakes up, Coffee in a thermos, mud on his boots, He lines up the cars like he’s calling the shots, Says, “Best switcher here”—well, maybe he’s not. [Pre-Chorus] He’s got a story for every track, Ask him once and you’ll get it all back. [Chorus] Vote Matt Smith, INRD’s best this month! He’ll tell you he’s the one who gets it done. Best switcher on the railroad—or so he claims, With a grin, a wave, and a pocket full of names. Vote Matt Smith, let the whole yard sing, If there’s a trophy, he’s already picturing the thing! [Verse 2] He swears he saw a saucer by the signal at night, A little green visitor gave him a fright. Then Bigfoot stepped out by the far-side trees— Matt says they both admired his moves with ease. [Pre-Chorus] Was it aliens? Was it a bear? Matt says, “I saw ’em. They were standing right there!” [Chorus] Vote Matt Smith, INRD’s best this month! He’ll tell you he’s the one who gets it done. Best switcher on the railroad—or so he claims, With a grin, a wave, and a pocket full of names. Vote Matt Smith, let the whole yard sing, If there’s a trophy, he’s already picturing the thing! [Bridge] Maybe those lights were a signal gone strange, Maybe that Bigfoot was a shadow in the rain. But when the work’s lined up and the last car’s through, Matt tips his cap like the legend came true. [Final Chorus] Vote Matt Smith, INRD’s best this month! The yard’s got a story and Matt’s got a bunch. Best switcher on the railroad—or so he says, He’s got the aliens and Bigfoot to back up his case! Vote Matt Smith, let the whole yard sing, INRD’s best this month—go crown the king! [Outro] Matt Smith! Matt Smith! Best this month—if you ask him, that’s a fact!
