Pass the Taste Test

Letra

[Verse 1] You slide the menu over, say, “Pick what you like” I point at something sweet, then steal a bite You watch my face like you’re waiting on a sign I take my time, let the moment take its time [Pre-Chorus] One little taste, now you’re asking for more Don’t make a promise you can’t keep at the door I like the way you’re trying to impress But let me see if you pass this test [Chorus] It’s a taste test, tell me what you’ve got A little sugar, a little heat on top Taste test, don’t just talk so smooth Bring me something real, let me make my move One bite, two bites, now I’m saying yes You’ve got the right flavor—pass the taste test [Verse 2] You remember how I take my coffee light You call me back when you say you might No grand display, no rehearsed line Just showing up and getting it right [Pre-Chorus] One little taste, now you’re asking for more Don’t make a promise you can’t keep at the door I like the way you’re trying to impress But let me see if you pass this test [Chorus] It’s a taste test, tell me what you’ve got A little sugar, a little heat on top Taste test, don’t just talk so smooth Bring me something real, let me make my move One bite, two bites, now I’m saying yes You’ve got the right flavor—pass the taste test [Bridge] No need to dress it up, no need to pretend I can tell the good stuff by the way it begins Keep that same sweet honesty And there might be a second serving for me [Final Chorus] It’s a taste test, tell me what you’ve got A little sugar, a little heat on top Taste test, now you know the rules Bring me something real, keep your cool One bite, two bites, now I’m saying yes You’ve got the right flavor—pass the taste test [Outro] Pass the taste test Come on, pass the taste test
