Download the free app for Windows or Mac and accept the virtual microphone install. Restart if your computer asks you to.
Preview the voices in the app - or clone your own from a 5-second recording - and select one.
Open Settings > Audio and set Microphone to CABLE Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable) on Windows or Voices AI Virtual Mic on Mac. In a meeting, use the arrow next to Mute to switch.
Set background noise suppression to Low so Zoom does not filter the AI voice, then join your meeting.

The same setup works in Microsoft Teams, Webex, Slack huddles, and any other desktop calling app that lets you choose a microphone.
Zoom's noise suppression is tuned for raw microphones and can clip a converted voice. Set it to Low and turn off automatic microphone volume adjustment. If the voice still sounds processed, enable Original sound for musicians in Audio settings and switch it on in the meeting.
In work meetings, tell people when you are using a voice changer. Never use an AI voice to impersonate a colleague, client, or anyone else, and follow your organization's recording and consent policies.
Start Voices AI Live first, then fully quit and reopen Zoom so it rescans audio devices. Look for CABLE Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable) on Windows or Voices AI Virtual Mic on Mac. If it is still missing, restart your computer to finish the virtual microphone install.
Click the arrow next to Mute and choose the Voices AI microphone. Zoom remembers the last device, so check it after each update.
Set background noise suppression to Low or turn on Original sound for musicians. Close GPU-heavy apps you are not using.
