Grace Breath

Testo

[Chorus] I am okay now, I can finally catch my breath. Not because it never hurt me, But the hurt’s not all that’s left. God, You stayed through every disappointment , Till I found my voice again. I’ve still got some healing to do, But I can smile and mean it when I say I’m okay now— By Your grace, I’m okay now. [Verse 2] I played my favorite song today And sang the whole way through. Called a friend and laughed so hard— Lord, that felt like something new. I’m learning I can love somebody And still know when to leave. I don’t owe the world a yes When I need space to breathe. [Chorus] I am okay now, I can finally catch my breath. Not because it never hurt me, But the hurt’s not all that’s left. God, You stayed through every disappointment , Till I found my voice again. I’ve still got some healing to do, But I can smile and mean it when I say I’m okay now— By Your grace, I’m okay now. [Breakdown — Lead and Choir] I can breathe now— (Take your time, take your time.) I can laugh now— (There is joy still left to find.) If I cry again tomorrow, I won’t call today a lie. You’ll be with me in the morning, Just like You stayed through the night. [Final Chorus] I am okay now, I am Okay now There is room in me for joy. I can tell You when I’m hurting; I don’t have to hide my voice. God, You stayed through every disappointment, And You’re with me in this day. I’m not who I was before it, I’m growing in Your grace. I’m….okay I'm okay now—said I'm okay [Outro] Opened up the curtains, Made a little tea. Nothing big had changed outside, But something changed in me. I took a breath and whispered, With no one else around: “Thank You, Jesus. I am okay now. {** ad libs}
