Verse 1 We raised a tower from the dust, Said, “Let us build and make a name.” Measured fields and moved the stones, Then taught the poor to bear the blame. We filled the temples, burned the oil, While widows waited at the gate. We sang of justice in the streets, Then bought the judges with their weight. The sword became the spreadsheet, The battlefield, the deed. We learned to conquer without flags And call possession peace. Pre-Chorus But every stone remembers, Every field still knows its heirs. The God who hears the orphan Has been listening to their prayers. Chorus There are two mountains rising, Two kingdoms calling us: One says, “Build your throne by taking.” One says, “Come and follow love.” Babylon climbs by power; Zion waits upon the Lord. Verse 2 By faith they marked the doorway Before deliverance could be seen. They trusted in the blood that night While death moved through the streets. Noah built before the rainfall. Abraham left home. Peter stepped beyond the boat Because the quiet Voice said, “Come.” The wind could tear the mountains, The waves could swallow men, But noise was never proof that God Had yielded power to them. When Peter lost his footing, When fear became his sight, His weakened hand released its hold— But Christ was holding tight. Pre-Chorus The storm can speak in thunder, Fear can claim the final word, But Elijah found the Holy One Inside the silence heard. Verse 3 The rulers planned upon their beds What morning power could steal: A family’s home, a farmer’s field, A birthright signed and sealed. They said, “There is no God who sees. No judgment waits above.” Then Christ withdrew from those who plotted And continued on in love. He did not shout above their lies Or answer threat with threat. He healed the ones they cast aside And paid the sinner’s debt. Babylon exploited weakness; Christ guarded every flame. He would not break the wounded reed Or make the poor ashamed. Verse 4 The nations once came into Zion Seeking wisdom from the Lord. Then the Word went out from Zion To the islands and the shores. One man became a family, One family became a sign; One nation carried forth the promise Meant for all of humankind. Gathered, formed and sent together, Still the ancient cycle turned: Gift became possession, Sacred trust became a throne. Prophets rose before the judgment, Calling wandering hearts to choose: “Return the gifts you seized from God, Or lose what you abused.” Bridge True restoration starts with truth, Not blaming foreign names. It bows before the sins within And does not hide its shame. It frees the Church to speak to kings. It shelters child and poor. It keeps the ruler under law And mercy at the door. A counterfeit wears sacred robes, Raises crosses over guns, Promises peace without repentance And calls the ruler “chosen one.” But no crown proves a servant, No banner proves a cause. The question is not, “Who seized power?” But, “Who submits to God?” Breakdown Power is not authority. Noise is not the truth. Fear is not discernment. Strength is not the proof. A cross upon the palace Cannot make the kingdom new. Babylon wearing Zion’s clothes Is Babylon through and through. Final Chorus There are two mountains rising, And every heart must choose: The tower built to make our name, Or paths God calls us to. Babylon climbs by grasping; Zion is raised by grace. One gathers gold behind its walls; One gathers every race. The Lamb will not become the Beast To bring the Beast to loss. The Kingdom wins by giving— The throne is still the Cross. Final Verse Then Babylon is fallen, Her merchants stand and weep. The titles, towers, contracts, And the kingdoms they could keep— All become the dust beneath A city not made by hands, Where nations walk within the light And healing fills the lands. The stolen fields are given back. The homeless enter rest. The sword is beaten into tools. The wounded are made blessed. No temple hides an empty faith. No ruler owns the flame. The glory of the Lamb is light, And God alone is named. Outro By faith, we trust the blood Before we ever see rescue. By faith, we hear the whisper When the storm says God has left. By faith, we guard the ember, Lift the reed and serve the least. For battles decide who survives the war— But love decides Who inherits peace.
