Libolo, Who Keeps the Good

Letra

[Verse 1] I can carry Libolo in the lift of one eyebrow. Who taught you that? My auntie, while she shelled beans and judged the rain. Auntie knows. I count the hills by the jokes I bring back. Bring them back! A goat once followed me into a meeting. What did you say? I gave it the chair with the best view. That was polite. It voted for lunch. Lunch won! [Chorus] Libolo, who keeps the good story? We do, we do! Who makes a small day dance? We do, we do! Say it with your whole chest. Libolo! Say it again, let the cousins answer. Libolo! The goat still wants its chair. Save it a place! Libolo, who keeps the good story? We do, we do! [Verse 2] I know a woman who can bargain with a mango. For what price? One laugh, and a promise not to squeeze it. Fair enough. Her nephew tried to sell me a cloud. How much? He said, “Pay later, it might rain.” That child has sense. He’s my teacher. Teach us too! I learned to greet the cook before the meal. That’s wisdom. And thank the plate after. Good manners! The plate was empty. Still deserved thanks. [Bridge] My shoes know the shortcut home. Where is it? Past the auntie with the mangoes. Buy one! I already did. Did you bargain? I tried. And? She laughed first. You lost! I gained a cousin. That’s a win! [Final Chorus] Libolo, who keeps the good story? We do, we do! Who makes a small day dance? We do, we do! Say it with your whole chest. Libolo! Say it again, let the cousins answer. Libolo! The goat still wants its chair. Save it a place! Libolo, who keeps the good story? We do, we do! [Outro] I can carry Libolo in the lift of one eyebrow. Can you? Watch me.
