Shepherds' First Light

Letra

(Verse 1 – English) Oh, what glorious news we hear, Christ the Savior now is here! In Bethlehem, this holy night, Born the King of glorious light! In a manger, meek and mild, Lies the holy, promised Child, God with us, Emmanuel, Come to save His own from hell. (Chorus – English) Glory, glory to the King, Hear the angels gladly sing! Peace on earth, good news we bring, Christ is born, our Savior King! Glory, glory, heaven sings, Praise the newborn King of kings! God the Son has come to dwell, Jesus Christ, Emmanuel! (Verse 2 – English) Long foretold by prophets old, Now the promise we behold, Born of Mary, virgin pure, Christ the Lord, our hope secure. Angels filled the midnight sky, Singing praises to the Most High, Shepherds heard the joyful sound, Christ the Savior has been found! (Verse 3 – English) From the East the wise men came, Led by heaven’s shining flame, At His feet their gifts they laid, To the newborn King they prayed. He who made the stars above, Came to earth in wondrous love, Mighty God, the Prince of Peace, His great kingdom shall not cease! (Verse 4 – English) Born to save His people dear, Christ the Lord has now drawn near, Holy Lamb, without a stain, Born to bear our sin and pain. From eternity the Son, Came to do the Father’s will, Born to die and rise again, Christ our Savior ever reigns! (Bridge – English, Building Crescendo) Glory to the newborn King! Let the earth and heavens sing! Christ the Lord has come to dwell, Jesus, our Emmanuel! Glory, glory to His name! God the Son to earth He came! Hallelujah, voices raise, Christ the King deserves our praise!
