Now Quincy hums with a broken straw,

When the babies rise and the buildings pop.”
And I believed it — ‘cause I saw the tear,
In the night sky’s coat — and I climbed in there.

Big Jimmy made a mask from code,
Said, “You ain’t alive ‘til you overload.”
He sleeps in wires, dreams in ash,
Said 9/11 was a holograph.
Quincy howls at the neon fog,
Petting what he claims is Schrödinger’s dog.
I asked, “Are we real?” He said, “Not yet.
We’re still bein’ printed by a cigarette.”
