Vote Matt Smith

Songtext

[Verse 1] Matt Smith rolls in where the switch lights shine, Claims he can work every track on the line. He throws those levers like he owns the yard, Says nobody switches a cut this hard. [Pre-Chorus] But when the crew asks, “Matt, is that true?” He grins and says, “Well, I sure out-switch you!” [Chorus] Vote Matt Smith, INRD’s best this month, King of the switch yard—or so he tells us up front. He’s seen Bigfoot by the water tower, Saw aliens too, in the midnight hour. Best on the railroad, that’s his claim, Put Matt Smith’s name in the winner’s frame! [Verse 2] He swears a tall shadow crossed the ties, And a saucer blinked in the Indiana skies. The crew just laughs, but he holds his ground: “Those tracks got stories all over this town!” [Pre-Chorus] He says, “I’m the best, you can take that to the bank,” Then waves at a footprint beside the tank. [Chorus] Vote Matt Smith, INRD’s best this month, King of the switch yard—or so he tells us up front. He’s seen Bigfoot by the water tower, Saw aliens too, in the midnight hour. Best on the railroad, that’s his claim, Put Matt Smith’s name in the winner’s frame! [Bridge] Maybe he’s right, maybe it’s tall tales, Maybe Bigfoot rides the freight-train rails. Either way, when the ballot comes around, Matt’s got the loudest pitch in town! [Final Chorus] Vote Matt Smith, INRD’s best this month, Best switcher alive—or he says so up front. He’s seen Bigfoot by the water tower, Saw aliens too, in the midnight hour. Best on the railroad, that’s his claim, Put Matt Smith’s name in the winner’s frame! [Outro] Matt Smith for the title, let the whole yard know— INRD’s best this month, give Matt the vote!
