In a village so quiet, so peaceful and still,
Joe Panic had stolen, and haunted at will.
He took what he craved, with a twisted design,
Hoping to change the whole village’s mind.

"Howl, howl!" Joe cried in the dead of the night,
"I’ll turn this place upside down, and make it all right!"
The villagers trembled, their hearts filled with dread,
For straight folks were vanishing, one by one, led.

They gathered in anger, a fury unbound,
With pitchforks and torches, they scoured the ground.
“We’ll find Joe Panic, and end his reign,
We’ll take back our people, and end this pain!”

"Howl, howl!" Joe taunted, his voice full of glee,
“Come find me, you villagers, you’re not like me!”
Through the woods, over hills, they searched with great haste,
Determined to end Joe’s twisted chase.

With every howl, their hearts filled with fear,
But Joe’s twisted dream was painfully clear.
He craved to transform the village, you see,
To make them all like him, just wild and free.

"We’re straight and we’re proud, and we’ll never be changed,
Joe’s wicked ways must be deranged!"
They hunted through forests, through valleys so wide,
No place was too far, no stone left untried.

"Howl, howl!" Joe echoed, the darkness his friend,
"Why fight what is meant? Why try to defend?"
But the villagers rallied, their courage now bright,
They’d put an end to Joe’s terrible night.

With a final cry, Joe leaped in the air,
But the village was ready, they trapped him with care.
They tied him up tight, and under the moon,
Joe Panic was caught, his dream ending soon.

“Now no one will change us, not in your way,
We’ll live as we are, come what may!”
And the village of straight folks, though scarred by the past,
Had reclaimed their peace at last, at last.
