Jesus showed up at a Mega church it went like this.

When he walked to the door he was greeted by someone who strategically trained and put in place. they stood with a forced smile, and firm handshake .
Inside was music he couldn’t help but hear. The Rock band was really rocking that was for sure. He thought “is this worship they are doing for me?”

The lights had gone out and the fog had rolled in. “was this true worship”he thought to himself? It didn’t seem
To be about praising the Father, the Son or Holy Ghost.

It didn’t seem he mattered as the crowd sang along that Jesus was really speaking to them, nobody would notice, nor would they care if Jesus was quietly whispering in their ear.

At long last the pastor came out from the back. Like a rockstar the cheered when he took the stage. But no
Talk of Jesus at least not yet the jokes and stories had to come first. If Jesus ain’t funny they might not come back, so he has to give them what they’re used to, not a scripture a or verse to chew on.

These people wanted laughter, not spiritual truth. It was his job to entertain them, not put them to sleep with the Word. Jesus was really just their best friend he told them. Just look to him when you need a friend, be nice to your wife and you’ll be fine.

never once did he mention the need to be freed from their
Sin. Just give your life to Jesus and you’ll surely win. Sin is an old concept not worthy of them.

this Jesus he spoke of seemed so nice and so kind. No cross, that’s offensive. no blood that’s to depressing and gross. Jesus only matters when you need him the most.

The Jesus he spoke of was a nice gentle guy. He didn’t rubuke leaders, or cast demons into swine. He was so watered down he wasn’t even much of a man, much less the savior that came to save them from sin by walking from the grave.

When Jesus saw this he was shocked and suprised. It’s like it didn’t matter that he suffered, and died.

While he really did love them and want the best for their lives… freeing them from sin and death was the reason he arrived. He did not come to become The Great Santa in the sky.

Jesus had warned us that in his name trouble would come. But prosperity gospel was what they got to hear. The preacher keeps them happy, asleep and content. He says what he has to say to Cover the rent.

When the service was over Jesus just sat there in wept, because nothing in that place had any real depth. Their theology so thin it was impossible to find. But that didn’t matter they didn’t seem to mind.

They didn’t need him so There was no need to stay. It was more about big egos and filling the. But at least they were “happy” and they liked it that way. Jesus walked out and just wandered away.
