I came home late again tonight, same four walls, the same old light. No one waiting by the door, no one asking me what I’m hurting for. Just the silence calling out my name, reminding me that nothing’s changed. I learned young how to hide my tears, say “I’m okay” when I’m falling apart. Everybody found somebody to hold, while I kept getting left out in the cold. I got a phone full of empty names, old conversations and forgotten days.
