Santa, He’s My Type

Songtekst

[Verse 1] He’s got tape stuck to his sweater From the stars we made tonight. Keeps asking my opinion: “Does this one look all right?” It’s a simple paper snowflake, But he holds it like fine art. Santa, I said, “Very pretty,” But I meant him from the start. [Pre-Chorus] He laughs when I get cheeky, Then he moves his chair to mine. Santa, do you see this happening? Tell me that’s a good sign. [Chorus] Santa, he’s my type, That swept-up hair, that Christmas smile. When he says my name like that, I lose my words awhile. Santa, he’s my type, Can you tell, can you tell? I’ve been trying to play it cool, But I’m not doing very well. [Verse 2] He keeps passing me the ribbon, Though there’s some beside his chair. Says, “We make a pretty good team.” I say, “We could be quite a pair.” “Coffee with me, handsome?” “Name the time and place.” Santa, that was easy, wasn’t it? Look at that grin on my face. [Bridge] When he says, “I like your company,” I say, “I’d hoped you might.” Then we leave the stars unfinished For a kiss beneath the light. [Final Chorus] Santa, he’s my type, That swept-up hair, that Christmas smile. When he says my name like that, I lose my words awhile. Santa, he’s my type, Can you tell, can you tell? I’ve been trying to play it cool, But I’m not doing very well.
