CS2 uses Steam's voice settings. In Steam open Settings > Voice and set Voice Input Device to CABLE Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable).
In CS2 Settings > Audio, make sure voice is enabled, set your push-to-talk key, and join a match.
Counter-Strike 2 takes its microphone from Steam's voice settings rather than its own device list. Selecting the Voices AI microphone in Steam is the cleanest setup. Making it the default recording device in Windows Sound settings works too.

In Premier and Competitive, clear comms win rounds - pick a clear voice and use push-to-talk. Save the chaotic voices for Casual, Deathmatch, and community servers.
Voices AI Live is an audio device, not a game modification. It does not touch CS2's files or memory.
Start Voices AI Live first, then fully quit and reopen Steam so it rescans audio devices. Look for CABLE Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable) on Windows or Voices AI Virtual Mic on Mac. If it is still missing, restart your computer to finish the virtual microphone install.
Run the microphone test in Steam Settings > Voice, then check that voice is enabled in CS2 Settings > Audio and your push-to-talk key is bound.
Use push-to-talk, or lower Steam's voice transmission threshold. Close GPU-heavy background apps.
Use headphones. Speaker audio leaking into your real microphone gets converted and sent back to everyone.
Voices AI Live does not read, modify, or inject into CS2 - the game only sees a microphone, like a USB headset. Valve's rules on player behavior still apply, so don't use voices to harass or impersonate other players or staff.
