Red Beside Blue

Lirik

[Intro: Mickey, sung] Red paint catching morning rain, I see that blue again. [Verse 1: Cruz, rap] Same road, same hour, how’s it happen again? You pull up in red, I’m in night blue Benz. Two turns, two lanes, then we’re side by side, Like the whole map keeps putting us in the same ride. Best dressed, best look, heads turn when we pass, But I’m watching your smile in the window glass. Gemini quick spark, Leo heart on flame, Every near-miss somehow circles your name. [Pre-Chorus: Mickey, sung] We take different roads, but the timing feels right, You look up, I look up, at the same moon tonight. [Chorus: Mickey, sung] What if we connect, what if we begin? Two bright hearts, let the whole world spin. Red beside blue, and the sky wide open, Wishing on a chance that we both keep hoping. Life keeps us apart, still we feel that pull, If we meet in the middle, we could rule it all. [Verse 2: Cruz, rap] I’m Cruz, you’re Mickey, two names in the wind, One more coincidence, then it happens again. You’re headed east, I’m rolling westbound, Still the same crescent hanging over this town. Big energy, no room for a quiet entrance, You bring the spark, I bring the confidence. Maybe fate’s got jokes, maybe roads have a plan, Maybe all these almosts mean we finally can. [Bridge: Mickey and Cruz] [Mickey, sung] I’m wishing on the moon, are you wishing there too? [Cruz, rap] If you’re asking the stars, I’m asking them too. [Mickey, sung] Different signs, same spark, maybe this is our cue. [Cruz, rap] One road, one moment, and I’m choosing you. [Final Chorus: Mickey, sung; Cruz ad-libs] What if we connect, what if we begin? Two bright hearts, let the whole world spin. Red beside blue, and the sky wide open, Wishing on a chance that we both keep hoping. Life keeps us apart, still we feel that pull, If we meet in the middle, we could rule it all. [Outro: Mickey, sung] Red and blue beneath one moon, Maybe the right time is coming soon.
