🎃 Halloween with the Vackenklints 👻

Songtekst

HALLOWEEN WITH THE VACKENKLINTS 🎃 [Intro – Female, whispered over music box] There’s a pumpkin glowing by the door… Did you hear those footsteps on the floor? [Male, spoken] Family Vackenklint… are you ready? [Both] It’s Halloween tonight! [Verse 1 – Male] Johan’s hanging cobwebs halfway up the stairs, Daniel puts a skeleton in Dad’s old chair. Christer walks into the room and jumps back in surprise, Then he laughs and says, “Just wait—you’ll get yours tonight!” [Female] Linda’s in the kitchen making something sweet, Sofia hides a spider underneath a sheet. Rebecka paints a ghostly face and turns off every light, While Ida watches from the couch, her eyes so big and bright. [Pre-Chorus – Female] There’s a little knock, knock, knocking at the door… [Male] And a shadow sliding slowly down the floor… [Both] We take each other’s hands and count to three, Then throw it open—what could it be? [Chorus – Both, energetic] Halloween with the Vackenklints! Pumpkin faces, wicked grins! Turn it up and shake the walls, There’s a monster dancing down the hall! Oh-oh-oh, let the cold wind blow! Oh-oh-oh, watch the shadows grow! With our family gathered in the light, We’re making memories on Halloween night! [Verse 2 – Female] We put a scary movie on and settle in a row, Someone says, “I’m never scared!”—we’ll see how that will go. A face appears against the glass, we jump and spill our treats, Then laugh so hard the neighbours might just hear us down the street. [Male] Johan grabs the camera: “Everybody, gather round!” But Daniel sneaks behind us without making any sound. Sofia screams, Rebecka laughs, and Linda shakes her head, While Christer’s wearing vampire teeth and sneaking up instead! [Pre-Chorus – Female] There’s a little creak, creak, creaking on the stair… [Male] We turn around, but nobody is there… [Both] Then Ida knocks a pumpkin to the ground— So that’s what made that terrifying sound! [Bridge – Female, softly] One day we’ll find these pictures, And laugh at what we wore, The crooked hats, the painted fangs, The ghost beside the door. [Male, building] We’ll tell the same old stories, Who gave the biggest fright, And wish that we could spend again A little of this night. [Both, rising] So take another picture, Leave the pumpkins burning bright— Come closer, everybody, There’s one more dance tonight! [Final Chorus – Both, powerful with backing harmonies] Halloween with the Vackenklints! Pumpkin faces, wicked grins! Turn it up and shake the walls, There’s a monster dancing down the hall! Oh-oh-oh, let the cold wind blow! Oh-oh-oh, we don’t want to go! With our family gathered in the light, We’re making memories on Halloween night! [Outro – Female, softly] The last few sweets, the candles low… [Male] One sleepy cat, one final photo… [Both] Together till the morning light, Happy Halloween—and goodnight! [Male, whispered] Wait… who’s still knocking? [Female, whispered] I thought that was you… [Sound of three slow knocks, then music ends]
