초석의 구조에 대해 설명
개념 : 건축물의 기둥을 받쳐서 상부로부터의 하중을 고르게 지반으로 전달하는 석재 지면의 습기로부터 기둥 하부의 부식을 방지
각부 명칭: 초반, 운두 (주좌면, 부좌, 주좌받침)
초석의 종류
1. 재료 및 가공에 따른 분류 : 다듬돌(정평주초) 막돌,자연석(덤벙주초)
2. 형태에 따른 분류 : 원형, 방형, 제형, 팔각, 육각
3. 초석높이에 따른 분류 : 장주초석
4. 위치에 따른 분류 : 평주초석, 우주초석
5. 고막이 초석, 고막이석
고막이석은 입식 바닥구조에서 하인방과 기단 바닥 사이의 고막이 부분을 막는 석재. 초석 사이를 연결하여 초석의 수평이동을 막음
내부에 온돌과 마루가 설치되는 좌식 생활구조에서는 건물 내부 바닥이 높아지고 하인방과 기단 바닥면 사이의 고막이 부분에 벽체시공 (고막이벽), 초석의 운두가 높아짐
고막이 초석은 고막이 부분을 초석과 한물에 만든 것
내부에 마루가 설치되지 않고 방전이 설치된 고려시대 고식불전이나 궁궐,제례 건물 등에 설치
3.초석의 시대별 특징
삼국시대 에는 새김없이 초반만 사용하거나 초반에 주좌를 단순하게 새김, 주좌를 높게 돋우지 않음
주좌받침이나 부좌 등의 장식 부가 / 주좌의 높이는 1~2치
고구려는 원형 팔각형 / 백제는 정방형
상면에 촉구멍이 있는 초석, 굴립주초석 사용 ( 사례 : 사천왕사지, 감은사지 )
통일신라시대 : 방초원주좌의 전형적인 초석
고려시대: 방초원주좌 계승 / 장식화 경향
조선시대 : 주좌받침이나 부좌 등의 장식이 없이 운두가 높음 ( 주좌 높이는 4~6치 )
4. 초석의 구조
초석은 기둥규격에 비례함 기둥직경의 2~3배 ( 통상 3자각 이내 )
주좌면은 기둥 외부로 5센치 이상 여유 ( 기둥규격보다 2~3치 이상 크게 사용)
초석 두께는 너비 1분의3이상
기단 바닥에서 최소 10센치 이상 노출
다듬돌 초석은 중앙부를 1푼 정도 배부르게 가공 / 거친돌 초속은 밑면은 팡탄하게 위면은 패이지 않고 불룩한 형태 / 그레발이 2치이내
우주초석은 평주초석보다 규격이 큰 초석 사용 / 평주초석과 높이 차이 비교 (귀솟음)
