[INTRO] Once upon a fandom There was this show called Power Rangers Kids loved watching people in colored spandex kicking evil butt But when it all came to an end, it still stirs our inner child [VERSE 1] Mighty Morphin didn’t hold up to its peers, but it sure started it all Teenagers with attitude sure left an impression But when it was time to be stronger than before, our heroes shifted into Turbo then blasted off in space Zordon died and our heroes took off in the Lost Galaxy Lightspeed took us back to Earth Then we chased a criminal through Time Force Then finally, Wild Force had an environmental message that almost ended it all [CHORUS] Power Rangers was this show, that nobody but a niche audience liked Kids loved it, as did grown up 90s babies But if you ask just anybody, it was lamest of the lame, some dumb show that was for amateurs But unless you’re part of that niche audience, then… [VERSE 2] We set sails for New Zealand and the Wind and Thunder ninjas totally kicked butt Dino Thunder returned to teenagers with attitude and who doesn’t love the return of Tommy? Oh wait, Tommy and Dr. O are two totally different people Space Patrol into the future, Mystic Force to be reckoned with, Overdrive and it’s haters, Jungle Fury’s Jungle Fury and RPM ended it with a bang [VERSE 3] Some things weren’t right Kids asked questions, why is the footage so grainy? Kids grew up, did some digging, colored suits, giant robots, rubber suits, it all came from Japan Power Rangers mocked Super Sentai And by that I mean Power Rangers was something it’s own Well sort of In any case, it all made sense [VERSE 4] RPM should’ve ended it but Saban wanted his baby back Samurai wasn’t so super, nobody liked Megaforce, Dino Charged started off strong, Dino Super Charge ruins everything and Ninja Steel was just Ninja Steel Hasbro said screw the status quo and Cosmic Fury was our last hurrah We’ve been promised a reboot, but still to this day, what’s going on Hasbro? [HOOK] Saban was the glory days, Disney tried to kill it off, Neo Saban wasn’t so glory and Hasbro did kill it off [OUTRO] We can still look back on the glory days But let’s face it, we’re never going back to the days when Joo-Oh-Jer becomes Wild Fury Hoorah
