Everybody got a title, everybody got a role, But the second shit gets real, everybody turns ghost. Then here it comes, right on fucking cue: “Hey, you got a minute?” No. But apparently you got mine. Customer’s pissed, now everybody runs, Funny how urgency shows up AFTER THE DAMAGE IS DONE. [Verse 2] We got a process. Nobody follows it. Then shit goes sideways— Everybody’s shocked by it. “How did this happen?” The fuck you mean? You skipped every step from A to fucking Z. Cut every corner, ignore every sign, Then suddenly the customer’s on the line. Now everybody cares. Now everybody’s tense. Funny how a crisis makes the process make sense. “Can we get an update?” Yeah. Here’s the update: YOU IGNORED THE PROBLEM UNTIL THE PROBLEM GOT EXPENSIVE. [Hook] NOT MY JOB — BUT I’M DOING IT. But everybody got to talk, so I guess we accomplished something. Fifteen people sitting around the table, Everybody’s an expert till there’s work to be handled. Ideas? Plenty. Opinions? Got ’em. Actual ownership? Nobody fucking wants it. [Bridge] “Who owns this?” Silence. “Who followed up?” Silence. “Who talked to the customer?” Silence. “Who actually did what we agreed to?” ... Exactly. But somehow everybody knows how we should’ve done it better. [Verse 4] Customer’s mad ’cause somebody dropped the ball, Funny — that somebody ain’t taking the call. Nah. Send in the cleanup crew. Same damn people who always come through. We fix the problem. We take the heat. We make the apology for shit we didn’t even create. Smooth it all over, get everything straight, While the people who caused it disappear for the day. Then somebody asks with a straight fucking face: “Why does everybody seem frustrated lately?” ... LOOK AROUND THIS FUCKING PLACE. [Breakdown] I don’t wanna hear: “We should.” “We need.” “We’re gonna.” “We plan to.” “We talked about it.” “We’re working on it.” Cool. One question: DID. YOU. DO IT? Because an idea ain’t execution. A meeting ain’t progress. An excuse ain’t ownership. And saying you’re “working on it” AIN’T THE SAME AS GETTING SHIT DONE.
