Australia, please don't go! I'm trying to articulate my thoughts, but I just can't find a way, AUSTRALIA, my home, my country, she's drifting slowly away. For 50 years I've lived here, paid tax and built a life, Got married, had kids, now grandchildren, but I see that they're in strife. I remember as a child, I remember the games we played, Down at the park hanging out, until night time there we stayed We didn't need to worry about machetes, we weren't concerned about gang crime, We knew about respect and honour, I guess that was a different time. We didn't have the internet, we didn't care about getting views, We didn't bother about pandemics, heck we hardly wore our shoes. We drank from garden hoses, the mud we did not fear, We rode our bikes right through it, and our mates would give a cheer. But now science says don't do that, they say it's risky and they'll get sick, They say there's a virus there in the mud, off to the doctor to get their prick. That's our society now, everything needs to have a vaccine, Boosting up a country, like a well oiled robotic machine. Everything is sanitised now, nobody can even breathe, God forbid you have no mask, then GET OUT, it's time to leave. The media is the infection, the virus comes from them, With their constant doom and gloom, that's where our problems stem. And politicians? Let's talk about them, let me say what I really think, A bunch of weak, woke numpties, a mob that really stink. They never used to be this bad, sure they had their way, But people used to keep them in check, we used to hold them all at bay! We used to have pride in our flag, our anthem sung at school, Now we are flooded with immigrants, apparently patriotism isn't cool. And yet the crime runs rampant, people now live in fear, But don't say anything, that's racist, punishable by jail for up to a year! That's right this new Australia, doesn't protect those who do right, No it protects the nasty and violent, gives passage to those who steal and fight. That's why this new Australia, I don't recognise one little bit, It's not the place I grew up in, Australia's gone to shit! I'm tried to articulate my thoughts, but I just couldn't find a way, AUSTRALIA, my home, my country, she's drifting slowly away. When the government just destroys this country, from the things that I've just said. Australia never used to be like this, it used to be a great place.
