Fiesta, Pass the Plate

Lyrics

[Verse 1] You tied a red ribbon around your sleeve Said, “Come on, there’s a table set for three” Aunt Rosa’s carrying a bowl of lime And somebody’s laughing before supper time [Pre-Chorus] The door swings wide, the whole block knows One more chair, and the good food goes [Chorus] Fiesta, pass the plate around Clap your hands and wake this town Fiesta, call your cousins near We’ve got room for everyone here [Verse 2] The little ones race with paper crowns Grandpa keeps the beat while he’s sitting down You save me the last sweet orange slice I trade you a dance, and you say, “That’s nice” [Pre-Chorus] The door swings wide, the whole block knows One more chair, and the good food goes [Chorus] Fiesta, pass the plate around Clap your hands and wake this town Fiesta, call your cousins near We’ve got room for everyone here [Bridge] When the candles burn low, stay a little more There’s a song in the kitchen and a laugh by the door You and I can help stack the chairs Then we’ll sneak one last bite and leave the rest for repairs [Final Chorus] Fiesta, pass the plate around Clap your hands and wake this town Fiesta, call your cousins near We’ve got room for everyone here Fiesta, pass the plate around Sing it once more, let the joy ring out Fiesta, call your cousins near We’ve got room for everyone here [Outro] One more chair, one more cheer We’ve got room for everyone here
