Lyrics
Verse 1:
In a valley cloaked in silence, where the ancient temples stood,
A young monk sought enlightenment, in a land of sacred wood.
One day in the forest, a bear with eyes so deep,
Offered him eternal life, a gift for him to keep.
Chorus:
But immortality turned dark, in the hands of a broken soul,
A temple burned in shadows, where once there was a holy goal.
The monk, now filled with power, left nothing but despair,
For what’s the point of living, if there’s nothing left to care?
Verse 2:
He wielded his dark gift, with flames and ruthless might,
The temple turned to ashes, under the moon's cold light.
With every life extinguished, his heart grew colder still,
The promise of forever, now a curse against his will.
Chorus:
But immortality turned dark, in the hands of a broken soul,
A temple burned in shadows, where once there was a holy goal.
The monk, now filled with power, left nothing but despair,
For what’s the point of living, if there’s nothing left to care?
Bridge:
The bear returned in fury, through the mist of endless night,
To the ruins of the temple, where the monk lost all his light.
With a voice that echoed sorrow, the bear spoke deep and clear,
“What’s the worth of immortality, when life holds no more cheer?”
Verse 3:
The monk, now lost and hollow, saw the ruin of his sin,
With every flame that flickered, the emptiness within.
He realized too late, the curse was not the bear’s,
But the heart that sought to conquer, in the life it could not bear.
Chorus:
But immortality turned dark, in the hands of a broken soul,
A temple burned in shadows, where once there was a holy goal.
The monk, now filled with power, left nothing but despair,
For what’s the point of living, if there’s nothing left to care?
Outro:
So the bear walked away, into the twilight’s embrace,
Leaving behind a lesson, in the monk’s ruined place.
Eternal life is fleeting, if the soul is lost and cold,
And the worth of living forever, is a truth that’s bought too bold.
