Open Road Vows

Lyrics

[Verse 1 — Jonathan] I wrote my vows a hundred times, But words could never quite explain How God sent me an angel In the middle of my pain. You saw the man beneath the hurt, You reached the heart I tried to hide. Tiffany, my love, my closest friend, I vow to stand here by your side. [Verse 2 — Tiffany] I never knew that love could feel So deep, so honest, and so true. Then you looked beyond the surface, And I felt seen by you. Twelve hours on an open road To say the words that change our lives— Jonathan, I’ll call you husband, And you can call me wife. [Chorus — Together] I will always choose you, First, last, and in between. When we have more than we imagined, When we’re living on a dream. Through sickness and through health, With Christ to guide us through, I am yours and you are mine— I will always choose you. [Verse 3 — Jonathan] I’ll find a way to make you laugh And hold you when you need to cry. I’ll tease you till you roll your eyes, Then kiss that smile a thousand times. I’ll love Qira and Phoenix With a father’s faithful heart. I’ll pray for all our children, And each day I’ll do my part. [Verse 4 — Tiffany] I choose you for the soul I see, For the faith we both hold dear. If I ever feel us drifting, I’ll speak so you can hear. We’ll talk until we understand, We’ll pray when words are hard to find. I’ll build a life with you, my love, One day, one promise at a time. [Chorus — Together] I will always choose you, First, last, and in between. When we have more than we imagined, When we’re living on a dream. Through sickness and through health, With Christ to guide us through, I am yours and you are mine— I will always choose you. [Bridge — Jonathan] I’ll yell beside you when the Yankees lose, And celebrate with you each win. [Tiffany] You’ll make me laugh when I’m still mad, And I’ll roll my eyes again. [Together] We’ll teach our children how to love, With patience, grace, and prayer. And when the road ahead gets rough, We’ll meet each other there. Before our God, we give our word, With every breath, we do— Yesterday, today, forever, I will keep choosing you. [Final Chorus — Together] I will always choose you, First, last, and in between. Through the years that change our faces, Through the days we’ve yet to see. With Christ within our home, And a love we tend and renew, I am yours and you are mine— I will always choose you. [Outro — Jonathan] Il mio angelo, I give my heart… [Tiffany] My husband, all my days… [Together] First, last, and in between, I will always choose you.
