Squiddo's Curious Crew

Lyrics

[Verse 1] Squiddo keeps a notebook in a lunchbox tin Draws a little map where the tide rolls in Eight blue buttons on a thrift-store coat And a paper crown that refuses to float [Pre-Chorus] You say, “Which way?” I say, “Follow the foam” Past the pier where the gulls all roam [Chorus] Squiddo, Squiddo, what a curious crew With a pocket full of seashells and a sock or two Squiddo, Squiddo, making waves in the bay When the tide turns around, we’ll be laughing all day [Verse 2] Found a brass key by the old fish stand A note in a bottle, drawn by hand “Meet me at the lighthouse, bring a pear” So we packed three snacks and a folding chair [Pre-Chorus] You say, “Which way?” I say, “Follow the foam” Past the pier where the gulls all roam [Chorus] Squiddo, Squiddo, what a curious crew With a pocket full of seashells and a sock or two Squiddo, Squiddo, making waves in the bay When the tide turns around, we’ll be laughing all day [Bridge] One boot on the jetty, one boot in the sea You found the best kind of treasure: me The pear rolled off, the chair tipped slow We waved to the moon and headed home [Final Chorus] Squiddo, Squiddo, what a curious crew With a pocket full of seashells and a sock or two Squiddo, Squiddo, making waves in the bay When the tide turns around, we’ll be laughing all day [Outro] Squiddo, Squiddo, see you by the bay
