Merzel Rein, May Joy Go

Lyrics

[Verse 1] One small hand reaching for the morning sun A first brave step, a laugh, a race begun Merzel, every day held something new And every little dream kept growing too [Pre-Chorus] With loving arms around you, year by year You found your way through every hope and tear [Chorus] Tonight we celebrate the girl you’ve grown to be Eighteen candles, bright as all your dreams From those first steps to the wide world waiting there Merzel Rein, may joy go everywhere This is your moment, your beautiful beginning A heart full of love, and a life just opening [Verse 2] Playful days and stories told again Birthday wishes, treasured old friends Every chapter left its mark in you A little more courage, a kinder view [Pre-Chorus] And all the people who have watched you bloom Are here tonight to cheer you as you move [Chorus] Tonight we celebrate the girl you’ve grown to be Eighteen candles, bright as all your dreams From those first steps to the wide world waiting there Merzel Rein, may joy go everywhere This is your moment, your beautiful beginning A heart full of love, and a life just opening [Bridge] Keep the laughter, keep the wonder Take your time and let your heart lead Every road will hold a story Every dream is yours to meet [Final Chorus] Tonight we celebrate the woman you will be Eighteen candles, bright as all your dreams From those first steps to the wide world waiting there Merzel Rein, know that we’ll always care This is your moment, your beautiful beginning A heart full of love, and a life just opening [Outro] Happy eighteenth, Merzel Rein May your brightest days begin
