Red and Black Forever

Lyrics

[Intro] From the bay to the floodlights, hear the town say Morecambe FC, we rise on matchday [Verse 1] Red and black scarves at the turnstile line Salt in the air and the floodlights shine Lancashire hearts with a fearless stride Every home-end voice standing side by side We’ve seen cold Saturdays, rain on the stand Still you can’t break this united band Ninety minutes, every tackle, every run When the whistle blows, the battle’s begun [Pre-Chorus] So raise that crest, let the whole ground know From the first sharp pass to the final blow [Chorus] Morecambe, Morecambe, hear that roar Red and black forever, give them more From the bay to the pitch, we hold our ground Morecambe FC, let the pride resound Morecambe, Morecambe, hearts on fire Every matchday takes us higher Win or lose, we stand as one Morecambe FC till the work is done [Verse 2] Shrimps on the badge, but the fight runs deep Promises we make are the ones we keep Young lads dreaming under evening skies Veterans leading with determined eyes Away-day miles and a battered old van Still we follow wherever we can One town, one team, one voice in the air When Morecambe calls, you know we’ll be there [Bridge] Let the drums of the terrace roll Let the colours carry every soul If the road gets rough, we won’t turn back We wear our pride in red and black [Chorus] Morecambe, Morecambe, hear that roar Red and black forever, give them more From the bay to the pitch, we hold our ground Morecambe FC, let the pride resound Morecambe, Morecambe, hearts on fire Every matchday takes us higher Win or lose, we stand as one Morecambe FC till the work is done [Outro] From the bay to the floodlights, all around Morecambe FC, the town is singing loud Red and black, together we run Morecambe FC, forever one
