Counting My Blessings

Lyrics

[Verse 1] I count the good in the miles behind Small open doors and the hands that were kind Every hard turn taught my feet what to do Every long season kept pointing me through [Pre-Chorus] I keep my eyes on the road ahead And hold the hope that the doubt once shed [Chorus] Counting my blessings, one by one All on this journey, still moving on Making way for the breakthrough Step after step, I’m coming through When the climb is steep, I remember what’s true I’ve come this far, and I’ll see it through [Verse 2] There’s a note from a friend in my coat pocket still A morning that came after nights standing still I’ve learned every seed takes its time in the ground And the quietest courage can turn things around [Pre-Chorus] I keep my eyes on the road ahead And trust the strength in the steps I tread [Chorus] Counting my blessings, one by one All on this journey, still moving on Making way for the breakthrough Step after step, I’m coming through When the climb is steep, I remember what’s true I’ve come this far, and I’ll see it through [Bridge] For every lesson, for every delay For all the love that carried me this way I won’t rush the hour, I won’t lose my ground The door I’ve been seeking is turning around [Final Chorus] Counting my blessings, one by one All on this journey, the morning has come Making way for the breakthrough Step after step, I’m coming through With a grateful heart and a clearer view I’ve come this far—and I’ll see it through [Outro] One by one, I can see it through All on this journey, making way for breakthrough
