There was a black rooster at the company called O.P.D. The man started at the bottom, working hard, looking for his way in this cruel life. Fellow by the name of Ernesto found work as a painter’s helper and he walked into the plants. He put in the work every day, didn’t matter the job was hard and the hours ran long, that little rooster kept on his road doing the best he could. Time went on and he came to see that to get ahead in those plants he had to be more than what they were paying him, and right then he decided to work harder, and in time the bosses noticed what he gave. He took the step up and a painter he became. The black rooster was flying, but he wasn’t nobody’s fool, and he turned right back around looking to pass the spot he was in. He didn’t want to only paint the lines, he wanted to be the one who bought the work. So he kept on studying and he pulled his painting inspector certificate. There came a chance with the C.I.S., and they gave Ernesto the inspector’s job. The black rooster was really flying then. Thinking he had already reached the top, he started to come undone. He believed he was more than he was, and he turned rebel in his own house. Hard times came through, the rooster came out played, and they asked him for the divorce. He lost the family, he lost the house, and Ernesto the great rooster had turned back into a little rooster returned. Time passed and he went looking for new doors, and he left the C.I.S. company he had cared for so much, and he went to work outside the city that for a time he called home. Looking for new roads and new chances, not everything came out the way he was hunting. The job ran out on him and his life turned into a mess. Ring, ring, the telephone was calling him. The black rooster came back around. Omar from the O.P.D. was calling, and not knowing what he wanted, he thought on it and he answered. Work was offered, come back to where he had started, but this time with the same company over the C.I.S. His eyes lit up, because it was more money than any other job he had ever held. Hot as he was, he told Omar yes, and the great rooster turned back into himself. Fighting with life, that rooster kept on pushing, till at last he was running the plant. He made friends with Iván, and with his daughters he shared time again. Life started back over, and with his parents he went back to live. The black rooster, running the plant, and after a while a lady he would look for. Life goes on, the wind keeps flying, and the story keeps on in this life.
