Kept

Lyrics

Kept Verse 1 I’ve walked through nights I couldn’t name Prayed prayers that sounded more like pain I counted every closing door But You were counting something more You saw the ending from the start You held the pieces of my heart Pre-Chorus And looking back, I see it now You never once let me down Chorus You kept me, You kept me When I couldn’t hold on You held on to me You kept me, You kept me Through every season, every storm I’m still standing ’cause You kept me Verse 2 The hard report, the empty room The waiting when no answer came I didn’t have the words to pray But You still called me by my name And every tear I thought was lost You caught and counted every one Pre-Chorus And looking back, I see it now You never once let me down Chorus (repeat) Bridge (build) You were faithful then You are faithful now You’ll be faithful still When I don’t know how Yesterday, today, forever You don’t change, You won’t change Yesterday, today, forever You don’t change, You won’t change Final Chorus (choir in, key lift) Tag (soft) I was kept Hallelujah, I was kept I’m still standing ’Cause You kept me
