Spin the Bottle

Lyrics

[Verse 1] Brendan set the bottle spinning On the kitchen floor at ten His boyfriends gathered close around him Laughing like they’d done again One slow turn, the room went quiet Every grin began to freeze Then the bottle pointed straight at Brendan And he looked right back at me [Pre-Chorus] We were making up the rules We were making up the night Nobody thought to stop and ask What happens after all this [Chorus] Spin the bottle, round and round Brendan’s got the whole room singing out One more kiss, one more chance Now there’s a little life in the plan Spin the bottle, what a night Brendan’s got a brand-new kind of light All his boyfriends, all that love And a tiny heartbeat in the middle of it [Verse 2] Now the calendar is full of appointments And the couch has room for three Brendan’s got a blanket over his shoulders And a list of things to be His boyfriends trade the dishes Someone’s learning how to cook And the bottle’s on the shelf now While the whole house makes a home [Pre-Chorus] We were making up the rules Now we’re making something real Every hand is here to help Every heart has room to feel [Chorus] Spin the bottle, round and round Brendan’s got the whole room singing out One more kiss, one more chance Now there’s a little life in the plan Spin the bottle, what a night Brendan’s got a brand-new kind of light All his boyfriends, all that love And a tiny heartbeat in the middle of it [Bridge] No one knew the ending When the bottle started to spin But Brendan found a family And a place for everyone to fit [Final Chorus] Spin the bottle, round and round Brendan’s got the whole room singing out One more kiss, one more chance Now there’s a little life in the plan Spin the bottle, what a night Brendan’s got a brand-new kind of light All his boyfriends, all that love And a tiny heartbeat in the middle of it [Outro] Brendan, you’re not alone There’s a whole lot of love at home
