[Verse 1 – slow rap] I've been living through the highs, I've been learning from the lows. Every time I think I'm steady, life reminds me that I'm not. Every time I find my balance, something knocks me off again. I keep holding everybody up while I'm slowly falling down. I take the blame, I take the weight, even when it isn't mine. Always trying to save somebody, leaving myself behind. I tell myself I'll find a way, I always do, I always try, 'cause if everybody's hurting, how am I supposed to be alright? [Pre-Chorus] I've been down this road before, I know the way it goes. Just when I think I've reached the bottom, something beautiful still grows. Give me something I can hold on to, give me one more reason why.” I didn't know the answer was already on its way that night. Same day my boss came up to me, said, “We want you here to stay.” For the first time I could see a door to finally get away. [Hook] These are my highs and lows, I never know how far they'll go. I'd never know this life.” I'd never know this little miracle, never watch my own life change. Never know that after all that darkness there were still some better days. I lost a friend I still think of, I know he couldn't take the pain. I hope he finally found his peace somewhere it doesn't hurt again. And maybe that's why I keep fighting, even when I'm running dry. I know exactly how the darkness feels— but there's a fighter still inside. [Bridge / Outro – everything drops down] Now I feel it coming back again. It always starts the same. I'm tired, I'm overwhelmed, and slowly losing strength again. And I don't know how deep this one goes, or what I'll have to lose.
