Family Taught Me Love

Lyrics

Y'all listen up cause I ain't no good at goodbyes. Rumor has it yall are packin up the truck, Bound for Utah with a dream, to make a million bucks. Well heck I can't blame you ,with the state our state is in, People are drownin in the taxes and the fees, If it goes on much longer, we won't have a state ya see. Well it's been a real pleasure, the way you took me in, treating me like family, Was somethin I never had. it's a different kind of feelin, a feelin that makes me glad, To have seen the love that your family has, even when your sad. Y'all treated me like family, inviting me to different things, like Cohens baptism, or Ridges football game, or Waylands graduation, even pancake breakfast, its all the same. Ya see, you probably don't realize, those things changed my life, to be a part of a family, like one I never knew, you made me feel what love is like, and I owe it all to you. Ya see everyone one in life, no matter who they are, can always teach you somethin, bout who you really are. The last two years I've had a family to teach me what I missed, I never knew that much love, could really exist. When you have a loving family, you can share what's in your heart, you can let your guard down, be vulnerable from the start. I just want to thank y'all for making me part of the crew so don't think you can hide, cuz Uncle Al will find y'all from the smell of Emily's stew.
