Prada and Leo

Lyrics

[Verse 1] Prada had a paper map folded in his coat Leo held a café cup and tried to keep it afloat They heard boots on the pavement, turned around too late Two agents at the corner, and a bus pulling away [Pre-Chorus] “Keep your head down, keep your shoes tied tight” Leo said, “I’m doing both—I’m holding your pie!” [Chorus] Run, Prada, run, Leo, run Past the fruit stand, past the rising sun They’re chasing your papers, but your hearts beat strong Two friends together, singing all along Run, Prada, run, Leo, run This wild little chase isn’t over, not done When the road gets rough, hold on to each other Two brave men, two friends, like brothers [Verse 2] They ducked into a wedding where the band struck up a tune Prada took a dance step; Leo spun beneath a balloon The agents lost the rhythm, the guests all clapped in time Then Leo grabbed the map and said, “That exit’s yours, not mine!” [Pre-Chorus] A trumpet blared, the whole room swayed Prada bowed politely as they slipped away [Chorus] Run, Prada, run, Leo, run Past the fruit stand, past the rising sun They’re chasing your papers, but your hearts beat strong Two friends together, singing all along Run, Prada, run, Leo, run This wild little chase isn’t over, not done When the road gets rough, hold on to each other Two brave men, two friends, like brothers [Bridge] At the station, they stopped beneath the clock No more running circles, no more hiding round the block They asked for help, found a lawyer, made a plan And faced the morning side by side, hand in hand [Final Chorus] Stand tall, Prada, stand tall, Leo Let the whole town hear your voices grow With your friends beside you, you can make it through There’s a road toward safety, there’s a chance for you Stand tall, Prada, stand tall, Leo May the doors swing open where the kind winds blow When the road gets rough, hold on to each other Two brave men, two friends, like brothers [Outro] Prada and Leo, laughing at the chase Sharing one last pastry, finding safer space
