Here I Am

Lyrics

here I am… sitting on my front porch I’m singing…….here I am…. thinking of the life I had before…… I had no job but I still had bills….. I had no honey who cooked me my favorite meals………. I felt I was on the brink of suicide… nothing in my life ever worked out or stayed by my side……. I’ve traveled down many roads even in other countries I had not known…….. but back home to the people I am a walking waste…. to the country I was a hero who chased and kept the bad guys away…….. but Here I am….. still standing strong… I’m still looking for somewhere for me to belong….. oooooooooo here I am….. still standing strong…… oooooooo here I am….. I ain’t go nowhere until god calls me home…….oooooo….ooooooooo…..ooooooo…….oooooooooooooo sometime goes by and I landed me a job….it’s honest work and enough to get me a place of my own……. weeks go by I’m clean shaven again.. my hair full with clean skin…….. pay check by pay check I’m rebuilding myself together….. not long after I met a sweetheart at the local hardware stores register…. she made me smile while I made her laugh…… than many months later we were in love….. 2 years go by now we have a home with a baby on the way…….. here I am….. reflecting on my life that I had before…. singing on my front porch….. outside my new house that shelters my new family that I am so grateful for….. oooooooooo here I am….. still standing strong…… oooooooo here I am….. standing outside my new….home…… ooooooooo…..ooooooooooo…..oooo…oooooooooo
