Lyrics

[Verse 1] At dawn you left the harbor wall, A map sewn in your coat. Your mother pressed a copper coin And tied it to your throat. Past barley fields and mountain snow, You followed what you knew: A promise made beside a bed, A road you had to choose. [Pre-Chorus] When the pass gave way beneath your feet, You stood where others turned. You carried every name you loved Like a lantern you had earned. [Chorus] Go on, brave heart, beyond the ridge, Where the old roads disappear. The hands that reach through storm and stone Will bring the far shore near. And when the final gate swings wide, Let mercy be your sword; Come home with more than victory— Come home with what you learned. [Verse 2] You crossed the salt flats, dry and white, Shared bread with strangers there. A wounded fox beside the well Was lifted from the snare. In a ruined watchtower, someone sang The tune your father knew. You found the strength to face the dark Was made of small things, too. [Pre-Chorus] When the valley filled with ash and fear, You gave your shield away. A hundred voices rose behind And turned the night to day. [Chorus] Go on, brave heart, beyond the ridge, Where the old roads disappear. The hands that reach through storm and stone Will bring the far shore near. And when the final gate swings wide, Let mercy be your sword; Come home with more than victory— Come home with what you learned. [Bridge] Not for a crown, not for a song, Not for the names carved into stone. You walked so no one else would face That lonely mile alone. The strength you sought in distant lands Was waiting in your hand; A vow kept true, a door held open, A heart that chose to stand. [Final Chorus] Go on, brave heart, beyond the ridge, Now every road is clear. The hands that reached through storm and stone Have brought the far shore near. And as the morning crowns the hills, Let kindness be your sword; Come home with more than victory— Come home and keep your word. [Outro] The harbor bells ring out at dawn, Your map rests by the door. The road still calls beyond the ridge, But you are home once more.
