MC RAVENS 1

Lyrics

[Verse 1] It's Tuesday night, the neon's burned out over half the sign You're nursing something pink and sweet, I'm working on my wine You say your job is fine, your kids are fine, your ex is doing great I say I'm sleeping like a baby, staring at the ceiling late The jukebox hums a song we used to know but can't quite place And neither one of us will say the thing that's written on our face [Chorus] We're both a little bit a bike with a flat tire Leaning on the rack outside the bar We could walk it home and leave it there to rust Or find a patch and pump it up and see how far we get Yeah, we're both a little bit a bike with a flat tire But flat tires roll again [Verse 2] Some guy is murdering "Purple Rain" and honestly, same You laugh and almost mean it, and I almost do the same You trace a coaster ring and say you drove past my old street I tell you that the bakery closed, you say you missed the heat Of summer on the porch, and I don't ask you why you're here We just let the second chorus get us through another year [Chorus] 'Cause we're both a little bit a bike with a flat tire Leaning on the rack outside the bar We could walk it home and leave it there to rust Or find a patch and pump it up and see how far we get Yeah, we're both a little bit a bike with a flat tire But flat tires roll again [Bridge] I've got a pump in my trunk, I've had it since '09 You've got hands that know their way around a chain and a spoke We don't have to fix it now, we don't have to say we're fine We just have to not be standing in the rain alone And maybe that's enough to get it rolling [Chorus] We're both a little bit a bike with a flat tire Leaning on the rack outside the bar We could walk it home and leave it there to rust Or find a patch and pump it up and see how far we get Yeah, we're both a little bit a bike with a flat tire But flat tires roll again [Outro] It's Tuesday, and the sign is half-lit, and the song is done You say, "Same time next week?" and I say, "Yeah, I'll bring the pump"
