Mountain Menace Anthem

Lyrics

I like roaming through the mountains, I was raised among the brush. That’s where I learned how to do the math, Just by counting sacks. I like slipping past the traps That the federal agents set. Right up close to the mountains, I have a cattle ranch. Cattle without ticks That I take across the border. My cows look so beautiful, With little lamb-like tails. My father’s friends Admire me and respect me. And within two or three hundred meters, I can get the airplanes off the ground. Different calibers— I handle machine guns. The Tiger goes with me Because he’s been a great friend. A master on the short airstrip, And very cautious, too. He knows that in this line of work, It’s not wise to fly half-asleep. Ah-ha, Sinaloa! They’re out there saying That one day they’re going to kill me. Snakes don’t scare me. I know how to lose and how to win. I carry an AK-47 For anyone who wants to come at me. Because of the business I’m in, I travel wherever I want. I don’t like people showing off, And I don’t like being looked down on. I like people to talk to me, But I don’t believe everything they tell me. The pine trees give me shade. My ranch, with bales by the kilo. I’m medium in height, A friend to my friends. Forgive me, but I’m not accustomed To telling you my last name. Goodbye, mountains of Coahuila, Of Sinaloa and Durango, Of Sonora and Tamaulipas. Chihuahua, you’re being left behind. If you want to get to know me, I’m out riding around in Juárez.
