Party on the Moon

Lyrics

[Intro] Count it down, the hatch swings wide Silver dust and a Saturday ride [Verse 1] You brought your dancing shoes in a helmet case I brought a deck of cards and a grin on my face We skipped past the crater where the shuttle came down And found a little party on the far side of town [Pre-Chorus] Your hand meets mine, we leave the ground One small step and the room spins round [Chorus] Come on, come on, let’s party on the moon We’ll turn the quiet sky into a ballroom soon Boots in the stardust, hearts out of tune Come on, come on, let’s party on the moon [Verse 2] The DJ’s got a radio tucked in his sleeve The satellites are swaying like they can’t believe You laugh and send a silver pebble sailing by It takes its time coming down beneath the sky [Pre-Chorus] Your hand meets mine, we leave the ground One small step and the room spins round [Chorus] Come on, come on, let’s party on the moon We’ll turn the quiet sky into a ballroom soon Boots in the stardust, hearts out of tune Come on, come on, let’s party on the moon [Bridge] When morning finds us, we’ll be miles away With moon dust on our collars and a tale to say But hold me close until the launch lights bloom There’s one more dance beneath this silver room [Instrumental Break] [Final Chorus] Come on, come on, let’s party on the moon We’ll turn the quiet sky into a ballroom soon Boots in the stardust, hearts out of tune Come on, come on, let’s party on the moon Come on, come on, let the night stretch wide One more spin with you by my side Boots in the stardust, hearts out of tune Come on, come on, let’s party on the moon [Outro] One more dance beneath the moon One more dance beneath the moon
