The Haunted AccessPoint

Lyrics

[Intro] At the edge of Rhode Island, where the old brick windows stare, AccessPoint keeps a secret in the dust beneath the stair. [Verse 1] The lobby clock is frozen at a quarter after ten, A badge reader blinks once, then goes dark again. The elevator opens, but nobody pressed the floor, And something in the hallway drags a chain across the door. [Pre-Chorus] You say it’s only plumbing, only pipes inside the wall, Then a cold hand writes your name where no hand should reach at all. [Chorus] Welcome to the haunted AccessPoint, Rhode Island, keep your nerve tonight. When the office lights all flicker, Something’s moving out of sight. Welcome to the haunted AccessPoint, Hear the old floorboards count to four. If the exit sign is humming, Don’t turn around—don’t touch the door. [Verse 2] A paper cup is rolling though the hallway has no breeze, The conference room is breathing through the gaps between the keys. A phone rings in an empty room, then rings inside your coat, A voice says, “Stay until the morning,” in a dry and distant note. [Pre-Chorus] The security feed shows faces from a year before the place, Every figure turns together, but none of them has a face. [Bridge] Basement level, breaker room, Red light glowing through the gloom. Someone laughs behind the wall, Then every desk phone starts to call. Name on glass and breath gone white, Keys begin to type at night. If you hear the server sing, Run before the dead bells ring. [Final Chorus] Welcome to the haunted AccessPoint, Rhode Island, raise your eyes. All the empty chairs are turning, All the locked doors open wide. Welcome to the haunted AccessPoint, Morning feels a world away. When the building says your name, Leave your badge and run—don’t stay. [Outro] At the edge of Rhode Island, the old brick windows stare. AccessPoint keeps the footsteps Of the people who were there.
