Country Flirt

Lyrics

[Intro] [Spoken with a laugh] Well, look who’s back in Nashville! Fifty six years old and still causing trouble! Somebody hide the women and lock up the whiskey! Happy birthday, Kenny! [Verse 1] Kenny’s back in Nashville, just like every year, With a filthy joke, a dirty grin, and an ice cold beer. He’s walking down Broadway like he owns the town, Tipping every pretty singer and buying another round. He loves a little Elvis from a girl up on the stage, And he’s spending money like a man half his age. His buddies all know when Kenny hits the town, Somebody’s getting lucky, or somebody’s going down! [Pre Chorus] Raise your glass and let the good times roll, There’s fifty six years of trouble in that man’s soul! [Chorus] Happy birthday, Kenny, raise ’em up high! Fifty six years young and still a hell of a guy! Drinking all night, chasing pretty girls, Tipping Nashville singers like he owns the world! He’s got a filthy mouth and a heart of gold, Still raising hell while he’s getting old! So pour another whiskey, let the music play, Kenny’s raising hell on his birthday! [Verse 2] Kenny met a singer at a Nashville bar, Tipped her fifty bucks and said, “Girl, you’re a star!” He asked for Elvis, she gave him a wink, He bought her a shot and another strong drink. She said, “Come on, cowboy, let’s have some fun,” Kenny thought his lucky night had finally begun. She grabbed him down low, gave his balls a squeeze, He hollered, “Sweet Jesus, girl, I’m down on my knees!” [Verse 3] She laughed so hard as he stumbled away, Said, “Happy birthday, cowboy, enjoy your special day!” He cursed like a sailor, said, “What the hell was that?” She just smiled and tipped her cowboy hat. Now Kenny’s got a story he’ll never forget, And the biggest Nashville tip he ever regrets! He came looking for Elvis and a little romance, But left that honky tonk walking funny in his pants! [Bridge] [Music slows briefly, playful spoken country delivery] Now Kenny, we love you, you crazy old fool, But maybe next time play a little more cool. Keep tipping those singers, keep buying those rounds, Just watch where those pretty girls put their hands down! [Instrumental Break] [Fast fiddle and honky tonk piano solo] [Final Chorus] [Full band, loud crowd singalong] Happy birthday, Kenny, raise ‘em up high! Fifty six years young and still a hell of a guy! From Broadway bars to the morning light, There’s nobody better for a Nashville night! He’s got a filthy mouth and a heart of gold, A thousand dirty stories that never get old! So raise your whiskey, everybody say, HAPPY FIFTY SIXTH BIRTHDAY, KENNY! [Outro] [Spoken over upbeat country music] Here’s to Kenny! Fifty six years of questionable decisions! Way too much tipping! Way too many dirty jokes! And Kenny… Next time a pretty singer asks you to come outside… KEEP YOUR LEGS CROSSED! [Band stops, crowd laughs and cheers] HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KENNY! [Big country guitar finish]
