Southern Wind Howling

Lyrics

[Intro] (Heavy slide guitar screech, slow pounding drum beat) (Guitar feedback) [Verse 1] You walked in here with your head held high Looking for a fight beneath this neon sky Spitting on the floor, looking right at me Like I’m some kind of joke you wanted to see But you don't know the fire that you're playing with, son I don't back down, and I never run [Chorus] If you fuck with me, I'll fuck you up I'll drain your pride right out of your cup Yeah, the southern wind is howling, and the night is cold You're playing a hand that you shouldn't have fold So take your step, go on, test your luck If you fuck with me, I'll fuck you up [Verse 2] I’ve got scars on my knuckles and dust on my boots Deep-running anger and venomous roots I don't start the trouble, but I finish the game By the time I'm through, you'll remember my name You think you're tough with your big-city mouth But you're standing in the middle of the deep dark south [Chorus] If you fuck with me, I'll fuck you up I'll drain your pride right out of your cup Yeah, the southern wind is howling, and the night is cold You're playing a hand that you shouldn't have fold So take your step, go on, test your luck If you fuck with me, I'll fuck you up [Guitar Solo] (Aggressive, screaming slide guitar, heavy southern rock groove, double-kick drums) [Bridge] (Tempo slows down, heavy bass and kick drum only) Hear that engine idle, hear that gravel grind You crossed a line you can't un-sign (Vocal builds to a scream) Yeah, you crossed the line! [Chorus] If you fuck with me, I'll fuck you up I'll drain your pride right out of your cup Yeah, the southern wind is howling, and the night is cold You're playing a hand that you shouldn't have fold So take your step, go on, test your luck If you fuck with me, I'll fuck you up [Outro] Yeah, I'll fuck you up Don't you ever come back around (Heavy guitar chord ring-out) (Spit on the floor) (Silence)
