Choose a calm, clear voice like Emily, Marcus, or Hazel for a business line, and preview it before you generate.
Clone your voice from a short recording, then type the greeting and let your clone read it for you.
Make the same greeting in Spanish, French, German, and dozens of other languages for callers who speak them.
Get the free app on the App Store or Google Play.
Open text to speech and type or paste your voicemail message.

Business hours: "Thanks for calling [company name]. We're open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please leave your name, number, and a short message, and we'll call you back on the next business day."
Out of office: "Hi, you've reached [your name]. I'm out of the office until [date]. For anything urgent, please contact [colleague] at [number]. Otherwise, leave a message and I'll get back to you when I return."
Personal: "Hey, it's [your name]. I can't pick up right now. Leave a message after the tone or send me a text, and I'll call you back."
Keep a personal greeting short. Callers only need to know they reached the right person and what to do next. For a laugh on your own line, a character like Count Nox or Granny Hex makes a memorable greeting.
If your iPhone has visual voicemail, you can record a custom greeting in the Phone app's voicemail settings. Play the downloaded greeting from a second device or speaker held close to the iPhone while it records, and do it in a quiet room.
Android phones, carrier voicemail, and business phone systems each handle greetings differently. Check your carrier's or provider's instructions for replacing the greeting, and which audio format they accept if they let you upload a file.
Put the most useful information first: who the caller reached, then what they should do. Write phone numbers, times, and names the way you want them spoken, and listen back to check them before you download.
Play the finished greeting through your phone's speaker, not just headphones. If a sentence feels rushed, add a comma or split it in two and generate it again.
With a cloned voice, your greeting still sounds like you when you change it. Type a holiday version, a new extension, or a temporary away message, generate it, and swap it in without finding a quiet room to record.
Voices AI is free to download, and every voice sample is free to play. Generating a greeting uses the credits or subscription in your account; the app shows current plans.
If your iPhone has visual voicemail, record a custom greeting in the Phone app's voicemail settings while you play the downloaded audio from another device next to the phone. Without visual voicemail, follow your carrier's instructions.
If your phone system accepts uploaded greetings, download the audio from the app and upload it there. Check which audio formats your provider accepts first, because Voices AI does not connect to phone systems directly.
