For a British voice, the Posh Aristocrat speaks exaggerated received pronunciation, and the British accent page has more British voices, from a storyteller to a knight. The Aussie Surfer is laid-back and sunny for travel videos and friendly greetings, and the Highland Bard is a cheerful Scottish storyteller.
For American accents, the Southern Grandma has a warm Georgia drawl, the Brooklyn Cabbie talks fast with a thick New York accent, and the Desert Cowboy takes his time with a slow West Texas drawl.
Each of these voices was designed with its accent, so you don't need phonetic spelling or slang to get it. Type normal English and the voice handles the pronunciation. A touch of local flavour, like "mate" for the Aussie Surfer or "partner" for the Desert Cowboy, helps, as long as you don't pile it on.
If you type another language, the voice reads it and keeps some of its character, but these are English accents and they sound best in English. For a script in Spanish, German, or another language, pick a voice made for that language instead.
Accents are fun for characters, travel videos, and comedy. Keep the joke on the situation rather than on the people who speak that way, and don't use an accent voice to pass yourself off as a real person.
