Rat King Legends

Lyrics

[Verse 1] Rat King Legends, banner up, we’re climbing toward the crown, We’re building us a family, every fireteam’s our town. “Everybody ready?” “Yep!” “Wait, my cat just took the chair,” The mission clock is ticking and there’s nobody quite there. [Pre-Chorus] One Guardian’s making coffee, one’s still changing all their gear, Someone says, “I’m loading in!” then vanishes from here. [Chorus] Rat King Legends, laugh and load again! Glory, fame, and friendly fire around the bend! We group up, gear up—then somebody goes AFK, Controller’s dead, we’re screaming, but we’re pushing through the fray! Rat King Legends, battered but we stand, One big goofy fireteam, with a wipe and a plan! [Verse 2] The boss is down to inches, somebody yells, “Now, go!” A rocket finds its owner—well, we learned that one the hard way, though. I dodge right off a ledge; you punch the wall instead, The revive timer’s counting while we’re laughing nearly dead. [Pre-Chorus] “Who’s got the banner?” “Me!” “Then why are you in orbit?” “Long story—tiny button—let’s pretend we didn’t call it.” [Chorus] Rat King Legends, laugh and load again! Glory, fame, and friendly fire around the bend! We group up, gear up—then somebody goes AFK, Controller’s dead, we’re screaming, but we’re pushing through the fray! Rat King Legends, battered but we stand, One big goofy fireteam, with a wipe and a plan! [Bridge] Battery warning—beep, beep! “Stay alive!”—too late, too deep! Someone’s shouting, someone’s down, Someone’s dancing in the wrong part of town. We lose the round, we lose our minds, Then rally up and queue one more time! [Final Chorus] Rat King Legends, laugh and load again! We turn our glorious disasters into stories for our friends! We group up, gear up—yes, we’re nearly ready, hey! The game has started—who just walked away? Rat King Legends, loud and laughing still, We’re climbing up together with ridiculous stubborn will! Rat King Legends, family by our side, We wipe, revive, and push ahead—one more glorious try! [Outro] “Everybody ready?” “Absolutely!” “Controller?” “…Where’s the charger?”
