Rat King Legends

Lyrics

[Verse 1] Rat King Legends in the fireteam chat Five brave guardians, one missing hat We built a family, forged in the queue Then someone asks, “Wait, what are we doing?” [Pre-Chorus] The launch timer’s running, the rally flag’s down One guy’s still changing his shader around “Ready?” “I’m ready!” “Then why are you gone?” The game starts loading—we’re already down one [Chorus] Rat King Legends, climbing up the ranks Group up, gear up—somebody’s AFK Controllers dying, screaming, “I’m alive!” We wipe, laugh it off, and queue up one more time We’re never ready, but we’re ready to try Rat King Legends, taking glory by surprise [Verse 2] A heroic push and a tactical fall Someone walks straight into a wall I throw a grenade, it bounces right back Now I’m a ghost doing laps on the map [Pre-Chorus] “Where’s the team?” “I thought you were near!” A battery warning is all we can hear We shout over comms, then we laugh till we choke One more attempt—someone’s mic just broke [Chorus] Rat King Legends, climbing up the ranks Group up, gear up—somebody’s AFK Controllers dying, screaming, “I’m alive!” We wipe, laugh it off, and queue up one more time We’re never ready, but we’re ready to try Rat King Legends, taking glory by surprise [Bridge] We die by the boss, we die by the door We accidentally launch ourselves off the floor But every bad run gets another retell And somehow our disaster squad does pretty well [Breakdown] Are we ready? No! Are we set? Not quite! Is your controller charged? …It died mid-fight! [Final Chorus] Rat King Legends, climbing up the ranks Family together, even when we’re late Controllers dying, still yelling, “I’m alive!” We wipe, laugh it off, and queue up one more time We’re never ready, but we’re ready to try Rat King Legends—now the whole clan knows why [Outro] Group up! (I’m loading!) Gear up! (I’m gone!) Rat King Legends—we keep pushing on!
