Dominic’s in a Trance

Lyrics

[Verse 1] Dominic’s a little Italian-Mexican man, At AccessPoint Rhode Island, making every day a plan. Warrior workout, karate, yoga on the floor, Line dancing, arts and crafts—then he’s looking for some more. [Chorus] Oh, Dominic, there’s so much left to do, A little song, a little dance, a brand-new thing to pursue. From boats and trains to lunch and dinner, every day’s a chance, And when he finds the piano, Dominic’s in a trance. [Verse 2] He’ll share a conversation, meet a baby, explore, Take a turn at Zumba, then discover something more. With country in his heart and swing beside his chair, He finds a little happiness in everything he’ll share. [Chorus] Oh, Dominic, there’s so much left to do, A little song, a little dance, a brand-new thing to pursue. From boats and trains to lunch and dinner, every day’s a chance, And when he finds the piano, Dominic’s in a trance. [Bridge] A bright brass band can call him, a country tune can stay, But give him those piano keys and he’ll play the cares away. [Instrumental: piano solo with swinging brass] [Final Chorus] Oh, Dominic, there’s so much left to do, A little song, a little dance, a brand-new thing to pursue. From boats and trains to lunch and dinner, every day’s a chance, And when he finds the piano, Dominic’s in a trance. [Outro] Keep exploring, keep on playing, let the good days roll, Dominic’s got music in his heart and joy in every stroll.
