My Golf Cart Is Not a

Lyrics

[Verse 1] I don’t need you at the meeting Save your chair, save your speech I heard the grounds crew supervisor Was the worst one on the team You roll in late with your excuses Like the clock don’t have a face I’ve got work stacked by the doorway And you’re still not in your place [Chorus] Come to work on time That’s the bottom line My golf cart is not a taxi Don’t ask me for a ride Come to work on time Get your own wheels in line My golf cart is not a taxi I’m not your way to shine [Verse 2] You wave me down beside the shed Like I’m running some hotel But there’s a course that needs attention And a schedule you know well The mower waits, the flags need setting Morning’s moving, so are we If you want to make the meeting Bring your boots and meet the team [Chorus] Come to work on time That’s the bottom line My golf cart is not a taxi Don’t ask me for a ride Come to work on time Get your own wheels in line My golf cart is not a taxi I’m not your way to shine [Bridge] No more circling by the clubhouse No more “just this once” today Set that alarm, be at the gate And carry your own weight [Final Chorus] Come to work on time That’s the bottom line My golf cart is not a taxi Don’t ask me for a ride Come to work on time Get your own wheels in line My golf cart is not a taxi Get yourself there on time [Outro] Clock in, show up That’s all I’m asking My golf cart is not a taxi
